February 26, 2019 – NWA is a converter and private label manufacturer of nonwoven wipes. National Wiper Alliance (NWA) began with three employees in 1996; Jeff, his wife and his 85-year old maternal grandfather, initially operating out of 2,000 sq. ft. of borrowed space. In 2013, NWA bought and refurbished its current facility, a former blanket manufacturing facility occupying 500,000 sq. ft.
NWA has over 35 converting lines offering converted products, as well as printing, for diverse industries ranging from food service, retail, janitorial sanitation, medical, automotive and aerospace. Also, an impressive track record selling its products to Federal agencies, including through GSA and to defense agencies. NWA is proudly registered to ISO 9001:2015 standards. The company’s unique name derives from their approach to customers: “Alliance because we believe that each relationship that we have, to the end user or to other companies, is an Alliance where we all work together to provide quality to all customers.
Noted in the release the Governor’s Office, partnered with the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (ECPNC,) established the award program to help North Carolina businesses achieve export objectives, and the North Carolina Department of Commerce. Additionally cited, according to the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., North Carolina’s export of goods and services supports more than 400,000 jobs in the state.
In recent years National Wiper Alliance received numerous North Carolina honors, including SBA North Carolina 2015, Small Business Person of the Year, NC Chamber of Commerce 2015 Manufacturer of the Year – Honorable Mention and Business NC Magazine, 2015 NC Small Business of the Year. In 2016, NWA was recognized by Wake Forest Family Business Center as the “NC Family Business of the Year”. This prestigious Governor’s award is a humble addition to their list.
